Cold and flu season is here again, and the reality is that germs are everywhere. From the grocery store cart handle to the gas pump, from shared keyboards at the office to the touchscreens we use every day, germs spread quickly and efficiently. You can’t see them, but every surface you touch is a potential breeding ground for bacteria and viruses. That doesn’t mean you need to walk around in fear or avoid the outside world. What it does mean is that staying healthy requires awareness and a little strategy. Germs aren’t new, and your immune system is built to handle them, but layering in smart habits can keep you from being sidelined by colds and the flu this season.
